Delete Your Account
Public account deletion information for BinderPlug users who can or cannot access the mobile app.
If you can log in, use Settings in the BinderPlug app first. The web request path is for users who cannot access the app or need to submit an account request before deletion.
What happens
What deletion does
- Authenticated in-app deletion requires password confirmation.
- The account is anonymized rather than every related record being hard-deleted.
- Active trades are cancelled.
- User cards are removed from the active Binder.
- Sign-in sessions are revoked.
- Share Binder links are revoked.
- Saved Traders records involving the account are hidden from active views.
- Profile, contact, location, push, and avatar fields are anonymized or cleared.
- For 30 days afterward, the same email address cannot be used to register a new account.
Retention
What may be retained
Some anonymized Trade, feedback, report, security, fraud-prevention, integrity, backup, and legal records may be retained. To prevent ban evasion, a one-way hash of the deleted email address is also kept for 30 days, then cleared. This page should not be read as a promise that every record is immediately or permanently erased.
